Race Day Info

The Ashland Monster Dash Run for Education consists of a 1-mile Fun Run/Walk, a 5K run/walk and a 10K run. The race course for all three runs follows the perimeter of Lithia Park, a beautiful 93 acre park in downtown Ashland, Oregon that was named one of America’s 10 Great Public Spaces for 2014 by the American Planning Association. Southern Oregon is fast becoming one of the premiere running destinations of the Northwest; and Ashland, specifically, has been identified by Running Times magazine as the ultra-distance running mecca of the U. S. and Outside magazine named Ashland the “Best Town in America for Trail Running.”

To register online (small fee charged) click the Register Here button to the right.  To download paper registrations go to the REGISTER page.

NOTE – the 10K race is being moved to an EARLY START due to requests from runners. See below for details.

All races are out and back courses that begin/end above the intersection of Nutley and Winburn Way in Lithia Park just below the band shell. The out and back course will allow you to see other runners’ costumes…and for them to see yours! See individual race course descriptions below.

NOTE: The  Costume Contest is now held during the Friday Night Monster Ball Pasta Party! See details on the Costume Contest page. There will be no costume contest on race day -but we still hope to see most runners in the great costumes they put together in past years!

DOG, STROLLER & YOUNG CHILD INFORMATION:

Sorry but Lithia Park is a no-dog zone, so NO DOGS PLEASE.  Strollers are allowed, but runners with strollers will be required to start at the back of their starting pack.  The 1-mile run is completely on pavement, but the 5K and 10K runs have portions of gravel that may require a running stroller.

  • If you want to run in the 5K or 10K race, but accompany a young child in the 1-Mile or 5K race, you may do so without registering for the child’s race.
  • If you are registering for the 5K or 10K and plan to have a child in a stroller, you do not need to register the child.  Please place the racing bib on you (the runner) and not on the stroller or the child.
  • Babies in strollers do not have to register for the 1-mile fun run.  See previous note regarding racing bib placement.
  • Any unregistered children are not eligible to receive a finishers medal, or any race category prizes.

Contact us with any further questions.
